Public Hearing: 2023 Funding for Specialized Transportation 

Notice of Public Hearing Specialized Transportation Grant (85.21)

                The Specialized Transportation Assistance Grant application for 2023 is scheduled for a public hearing by the Washington County Public Works Committee on Thursday, November 17th at 4:00 PM at the Washington County Herbert J. Tennies Government Center, West Bend, Wisconsin 53095 for the purpose of receiving comment for Washington County’s proposed application for approximately $475,656 of funding authorized under Section 85.21 of the Wisconsin Statutes to implement its elderly and disabled transportation program:

  • Shared-Ride Taxi Service
  • Non-Urgent Medical Rides Out-of-County Service
  • One (1) ADA-Van or Minibus with Lift

At the hearing Washington County Public Works Committee will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the social, economic, and environmental aspects of the project. Interested persons may submit orally or in writing evidence and recommendations with respect to said project. Transportation may be provided to the meeting for elderly and disabled persons by calling (262)-338-2908. Additionally, written comments will be considered if sent to Washington County Transit Services, 900 Lang Street, West Bend, Wisconsin. Written comments must be received by 3:00 pm on November 17, 2022.

A copy of the application for a State grant for the proposed project is currently available for public inspection at Washington County Transit Services, 900 Lang Street, West Bend, Wisconsin 53095.
