      <title>12-29-25-Structure Fire</title>
      <description>
			    On Monday, December 29, 2025, at 9:10am the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a detached garage on fire, on St. Killian Drive in the Town of Wayne. The homeowners were on scene attempting to extinguish the fire with the use of a water hose. Sheriff’s Office deputies responded and arrived at 9:17am. On first arrival, a large pile of firewood under the shed overhang and near the outdoor woodstove, was fully engulfed, with the flames entering the rafters/attic of the shed. Prior to fire personnel arriving on scene, the homeowners and Sheriff’s Office deputies removed personal property from the shed.

      <title>11/29/2025 Ski Lift Power Outage</title>
      <description>
			    On 11/29/2025 at 5:36pm, Sunburst Ski Hill located at 8355 Prospect Drive in the Town of Kewaskum contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center stating that they had suffered a partial power outage resulting in a chair lift becoming immobilized with riders on board. Staff and Ski Patrol were already working on rescue efforts, however they requested the Kewaskum Fire Department for additional manpower. Fire personnel and Deputies were subsequently dispatched to the scene.

      <title>Reckless Homicide Arrests</title>
      <description>
			    The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigations Overdose Death Initiative (ODI), conducted two early morning operations in the City of Milwaukee on Thursday.  A search warrant was served by the Wisconsin DCI joint tactical team with assistance from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team in the 9500 block of W. Lisbon Ave in connection with a July overdose death in the Town of Farmington that was being investigated jointly by the major crimes and drug task force divisions.  A Milwaukee man was taken into custody by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office on local gun and drug charges after 32 grams of fentanyl, around 100 grams of cocaine, and two firearms were recovered during the search warrant.

      <title>Critical Injury Incident Involving Inmate</title>

			    West Bend, WI – Authorities are investigating a serious incident that occurred at the Washington County Jail on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, when an inmate sustained critical injuries after deliberately jumping from a top-tier railing of an adult pod. The 28-year-old male inmate, from Minnesota, is being held on a $50,000 cash bond on charges related to a domestic incident that occurred on September 27, 2025. The pending charges include felony charges of 1st Degree Reckless Injury and Aggravated Battery.

			    On 10/03/2025 at 1:21pm, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center took multiple 911 calls reporting black smoke coming from a barn on Clover Road in the Town of Hartford. Deputies, Hartford Fire and St Lawrence Fire were subsequently dispatched to the scene. While they were still enroute, contact was made with the property owners who stated that the barn was unoccupied and did not contain any animals.
