Parks Endowment, Golf Course's 25th Anniversary

County Executive Josh Schoemann is announcing the celebration of the new Parks and Trails Endowment and the Washington County Golf Course’s 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee. “Fiscal trends have highlighted the need to find innovative ways to achieve financial independence and fiscal sustainability for our Parks Division,” said Schoemann. “Our goal is to make our County Parks System operations independent of the property tax levy. We are pleased to announce the creation of an endowment fund to be used, in perpetuity, for parks, trails, and golf.”

Children’s Court Improvement Program

Washington County is improving services in its Children’s Court through placing equipment in additional county locations to facilitate remote participation in child welfare cases. The Wisconsin Children’s Court Improvement Plan (CCIP) has received supplemental federal funding to address the needs stemming from the COVID-19 public health emergency to ensure the safety, permanence, and well-being needs of children are met in a timely and complete manner.

Law 84 to Update Marriage Document Requirements
West Bend, WI – In a show of support for increased customer service to Wisconsinites seeking marriage licenses, Governor Evers signed Act 84 on November 5, 2021, which amends the current law to make certain the chain of records is maintained, ensures accurate information is utilized on marriage licenses, and allows the filing of a marriage license in any county.
