NOTICE:

In compliance with the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision in Senne v. Village of Palatine, 695F3d597 (7th Circuit, 2012), and the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (“DPPA”), 18 U.S.C. §2721 et.seq., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office is no longer releasing personal information under the DPPA unless it falls under a permissible use. Personal information obtained from the Department of Motor Vehicles, including an individual’s date of birth, drivers license number, social security number, home address, telephone number, photograph and medical or disability information is prohibited from disclosure unless one of the permissible uses applies. Permissible uses are listed in 18 U.S.C. 2721 (b).

Pallet Factory Fire in Slinger
05/22/2023
On 05/21/2023 at approximately 7:23pm, the Washington County Communications Center began taking 911 calls reporting smoke and flame coming from Oak Creek Wood Products, which is located alongside Hwy/I-41 south of Slinger in the Town of Polk. The first responding Deputy observed dark smoke coming from the area while still en route. Slinger Fire was subsequently paged to the scene.

Two-Vehicle Accident Update
05/22/2023
On Saturday, May 20, 2023, at approximately 12:21pm, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received several reports of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Hwy 144 and Cty Tk H in the Town of Farmington. The first caller advised the crash involved a tractor-trailer livestock hauler which struck a small sport utility vehicle. Fire & Rescue from Kewaskum and Boltonville were immediately dispatched to the scene along with sheriff’s deputies.

Stolen Valor
05/01/2023
Jakobie Timblin, a 34-year-old Richland Center man, was arraigned in Washington County Circuit Court last month on two felony counts regarding his alleged involvement in a stolen military valor case that was investigated by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with providing false statements regarding military service with intent to commit a crime and theft by false representation.

House Fire

On Monday April 24, 2023, at approximately 10:40 am the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a house fire in the 5800 block of Hillcrest Drive in the Town of Addison. The homeowner reported that smoke was coming out of the basement and everyone was out of the residence.

Community Notification

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the following information pursuant to WI Statute 301.46(2m) which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sex offender’s release when, in the discretion of the agency, the release of information will enhance public safety, awareness and protection. The individual who appears on this notification has been convicted of a sex offense.
