SUBJECT: Injury Crash 25-18285

On May 22, 2025, at approximately 12:19 a.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a crash detection alert in the area of Highway 144 and County Trunk K in the Town of Polk. Multiple 911 callers then confirmed the crash involved injuries. Law Enforcement Officers from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Slinger Police Department, and Wisconsin State Patrol, along with the Slinger Fire Department and Lifestar Ambulance responded to the scene. Upon arrival of the first deputy, it was determined the vehicle had extensive damage after rolling. The passenger of the vehicle was located and sustained serious injuries. The operator sustained minor injuries. The passenger was transported to a regional trauma center.
The roadway was closed for approximately five hours while the Washington County Crash Reconstruction Unit investigated the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. The operator of the vehicle was arrested for suspicion of Operating While Impaired.
