Subject:                    Vehicle Crash 26-5930

Authority:                 Sergeant Anthony Conforti #118

On February 14, 2026, at approximately 3:08 p.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a report of a single vehicle crash northbound on Highway 45 north of Park Avenue in the City of West Bend. A Deputy with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was in the immediate area and located a SUV in the east ditch of Highway 45 that had struck a tree. The West Bend Fire Department was subsequently dispatched to the scene.

The initial responding Deputy located three occupants inside of the SUV, one of which was able to self-extricate. The two front seat occupants required extrication by fire department personnel. The driver was transported via ambulance to a local hospital for further treatment and is in stable condition. The front seat passenger was transported via Flight for Life to a local hospital and is listed as critical but stable condition.

The preliminary investigation determined that the SUV was traveling northbound on Highway 45 when it abruptly left the roadway and struck a large tree. Portions of Highway 45 were closed for approximately two hours to allow for the landing of Flight for Life, removal of the vehicle, and completion of the crash investigation. The investigation is open and ongoing by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team.

Assisting at the scene were the West Bend Police Department, the Allenton Fire Department, and the Boltonville Fire Department.
