Swimming and Beaches

ATTENTION: Leonard J. Yahr County Park will be closed to the public the morning of 7/18  (Thurs) through the weekend until noon on 7/22 (Mon) for the annual Yahr Family Reunion per the agreement for the donation of this property. Please respect their privacy.

Sandy Knoll County Park

The Sandy Knoll beach is a large sanded beach on a pond. The beach has a handicap accessible ramp to both the picnic tables and the beach itself. Please note that there are no lifeguards at the beach.

Leonard J. Yahr County Park

Yahr Park has a sandy beach on Erler Lake and is located next to the playground. We also offer kayak and canoe rentals. Please note that there are no lifeguards at the beach.

Glacier Hills County Park

While Glacier Hills does not have a beach, the dock and existing grass lakefront is still available for swimming. We also offer kayak and canoe rentals. Please note that there are no lifeguards at the beach.

Ackerman's Grove County Park

Ackerman's Grove has a small sandy beach on Little Cedar Lake. It is located close to the playground, picnic tables, and flush bathrooms. Please note that there are no lifeguards at the beach.
